Can Sofia work her magic again? Will Stephen Dorff have the talent and emotional depth to carry such a film? Are we talking major Oscar nominations or another Marie Antoinette curiouso? I have doubts about the late December release date - a good run at Toronto or Venice will probably be required but it is a lot easier to get into the Best Picture mix nowadays (AMPAS, please return to the five film shortlist!). For now, I'm liking the poster and the trailer is solid, if a little obvious.

"Can Sofia work her magic again?"
ReplyDeleteHell yeah! :D
Very nice trailer - like that it's all images and not so much dialogue. Tea parties on the bottom of the pool were a favorite as a kid! It's those sort of images that Sophia uses that connects to people in little, personal ways. I think she'll do it again. People with a talent and perspective like hers are usually able to be magical in most of their endeavours.
ReplyDeleteIf not at least we know we'll get a killer soundtrack...
ReplyDeleteExcited!
ReplyDeleteI really think this film is going to sneak up on some people and be a major Oscar contender.
ReplyDeleteWow. The trailer is so nice then the movie will be great too. I will try to get a DVD of this movie to watch it at home.
